Hi Yannick,

On a site I recently installed 4SEO on, I got reports from Search Console that noindex pages are included in the sitemap. An example URL is this one:

https://xxxx.nl/uitvaart-regelen/opbaren/vingerafdruk-bewaren

Sitemap is here:

https://xxxx.nl/sitemap.nl-NL.4seo.1.xml.gz

Noindex was added in Joomla core (already present before 4SEO was installed), not in 4SEO, but still they should be excluded, right? In the site analysis settings I have set to exclude noindex pages. Or should this be set to include noindex pages so that 4SEO can properly exclude them from sitemaps? Not sure how you meant this to work.

I checked another site with 4SEO with identical settings and there everything is as expected, with noindex pages excluded from the sitemap correctly.

Correct.

No, you do not need to do that, it's all automatic.

I checked another site with 4SEO with identical settings and there everything is as expected, with noindex pages excluded from the sitemap correctly.

I have no other such reports and this tends to indicate the issue is specific to this site. One thing I can think of is if the no-indexing took place after the analysis and for some reason the change was not detected (this is also automatic, as long as that page has at least one page load).

I'd suggest first to Clear the analysis and redo it manualy from the admin. Then click on "Rebuild" on the Sitemap page (can take a few minutes as we pay attention not to rebuilding too often).

Best regards

The noindex directive was already there before 4SEO was installed. In the meantime, I reset the analisys and sitemap and indeed all is fine now, thanks.

Hi

ok, that's odd. Frankly I'm not sure what to say. Is this running sh404SEF? if so , does that URL has duplicates?

Best regards

Hi Yannick, not sure what happened here too, no duplicates and no SH404SEF (site used Easy Frontend SEO + OSmap before) but at least it works now, so al is fine.
