Hello,

the page analysis seems to be stuck. For days I get the message that  17578 pages have been analysed, and 41392 are pending. No obvious movement.

No sitemap has been created. What to do.

Thanks for your support.

Hi

1 - Please always make sure to mention your site address so that we can have a look

2 - Did you start with a manual analysis (in the admin) or are you only relying on front-end visits to trigger background analysis?

When running a backend analysis, which is best to get started with the first analysis, a few tens of thousands of pages should be done in a few hours at most.

Best regards

Hello Yannick,   I did start with a backend analysis. The website is www.xxxx.at

Thanks for the quick response.

The analysis remained at the same level for days now. What can I do to get it going again. Thanks

Hi

I did start with a backend analysis.

Yes but did it complete? You have to let it go until it completes. After the first completion, 4SEO will only update the data when changes are detected and that can easily be handled through frontend-triggered analysis.

But the first analysis has to complete. So I'd advise:

- look at your site and possible exclude from analysis the pages you know have little to no SEO value (4SEO will itself exclude some but you're the one who knows your site)

- then run the analysis in the backend until it completes.

It is OK if the number of Analyzed pages does not change, even for a long time. "Pending" pages should change regularly while you run the admin analysis.

Ok, but neither the number of analysed pages nor the number of pending pages changed.

Shall I reset and start from the beginning?

Hi

Ok, but neither the number of analysed pages nor the number of pending pages changed

I'd first suggest the following:

- install our 4LOGs plugin (get it directly from the JED, under "Install from web"). It will lets check all the log files in the Joomla logs folder easily

- Inspect the 4SEO and/or wbLib error log files, if any, in case any error is showing up related to crawling/analysing the site

Some server may have configurations blocking crawling for instance, or rate limiting or similar.

Then if that does not yield anything useful then yes:

- exclude any pages you think are not useful (with patterns, such as /some-site-section/{} )

- reset analysis and restart it. Let it go in a browser for a while. you can stop it ("Run in background") and restart it the next day as you see fit.

Hello Yannick,

I did install 4Logs and get the following error logs for 4SEO:

1.) error 72.30.14.11 guest PDC controller onError before canRun() /var/www/gkevo/administrator/components/com_easyblog/includes/post/post.php::7543 Call to a member function getParams() on bool #0 /var/www/gkevo/components/com_easyblog/views/entry/view.amp.php(80): EasyBlogPost->getMenuParams()

2.) error 40.94.96.41 guest /var/www/gkevo/plugins/system/forseo/vendor/weeblr/forseo/model/crawler.php::295 Too many requests - #0 /var/www/gkevo/plugins/system/forseo/vendor/weeblr/forseo/model/crawler.php(157): Weeblr\Forseo\Model\Crawler->grabUrls()

Thanks for your support

Hi

4SEO has a global error handler so it logs any error happening on the site. The first error is just an error in EasyBlog, so now you know some of your visitors are seeing a PHP fatal error when they view an EasyBlog AMP page (from the error message, it seems to happen on the AMP version "entry/view.amp.php(80)").

The other error is not really an error, it's a message stored in the error log when too many requests for analyzing pages are happening: this would likely kill or at least slow down your server, so 4SEO only accepts so many requests per seconds for page analysis. Nothin to worry about, except that it's good you see this, it measn 4SEO is properly controlling crawling speed and not overloading your server.

So if these are the only errors, I'd suggest to proceed with the above mentionned plan: exclude useless pages, if any (do you have user accounts pages for instance?), reset analysis and then restart it from the admin.

Best regards
