Hi

4seo is saying this is the path to the sitemap, however its not getting created for some reason.  I have akeeba admin and created an exception for that file like i usually would for other sitemaps...doesnt help.  any other reasons that typically stop the creation?

1)Exceptions

Allow direct access to these files:

media/com_forseo/vendor/weeblr/forseo/assets/sitemap/sitemap-4seo.xsl

2) Custom .htaccess rules

Custom .htaccess rules at the top of the file:

## 4SEO Sitemap ##
RewriteRule ^sitemap\-4seo\.xml$ – [L]
RewriteRule ^sitemap\.en\-GB\.4seo\.1\.xml\.gz$ – [L]
RewriteRule ^sitemap\.en\-GB\.4seo\.2\.xml\.gz$ – [L]
RewriteRule ^sitemap\.en\-GB\.4seo\.3\.xml\.gz$ – [L]

Hi

It's been created all right, what you are seeing is your webserver 404 which means..

OK, saw your response. The sitemap is fine, it's indeed your webserver not passing the request for it to Joomla (and 4SEO inside of Joomla).

So yes, it can be:

- Admin tools, the usual culprit here

- The rest of your .htaccess, especially the section which rewrites request TO joomla index.php. Sometimes instead of sending every non-existing files to Joomla index.php, the rules only sends a specific list of extensions such as .php, .html and such. That's what needs to be removed.

Best regards
