Hi, we just purchased 4SEO and I did a quick foreground site analysis. The count of pages analyzed increases to 915 but then stops. The count of pending pages peaks around 1600 and then lowers to 0 (as expected).

I cleared the analysis and ran it again, assuming I did something wrong but had the same results. I don't know if the display is wrong (i.e., all pages were analyzed but the count doesn't reflect that) or if the analysis somehow failed.

Hi

The count of pending pages peaks around 1600 and then lowers to 0 (as expected).

Did you get a message "Analysis has completed"?

The count of pages analyzed increases to 915 but then stops.

Currently I see around 750 pages analyzed and about 1400 to go. I have opened a window with the analysis running and I'll see if and how it completes.

Note that even after it completes (the first time), you will always have "pending" pages: the analysis process is always happening. The first completion is a trigger that allows building the first sitemap and a few other things but the sitemaps, for instance, is also constantly and automatically updated, based on the ongoing analysis.

Hi again,

While I was there, I noticed your 4SEO-generated 404 error page have a problem:

We already saw that, it's an issue in SPPageBuilder. Here is how our other user said they fixed it:

Looks like it is something according to the Template I'm using (HELIX 3 and Page Builder). Last night i was running a update on Page Builder, now it works fine.

Best regards

Hi again

That worked fine:

Nothing is stuck and all went well. I looked at the logs and here is why may make you think there's a problem:

- 4SEO checks all the external links as well as internal links

- you have many external links (to other sites) that are not working (invalid certificates, or just down)

- when testing such a link, 4SEO waits at most 15 seconds for the site to respond and it tries 3 times

- when a links fails, the 2nd and 3rd attempts are not done right away. The failing links are pushed at the end of the "pending" list and untested links are checked before retrying linkgs that failed.

- so all the "good" links are tested first (915) and then all the bad ones are pushed at the end. This may cause the "pending number" to not move for a while because 4SEO is testing external links that fails only after 15 seconds and need 3 failed tests to be eliminated from the pending list.

So all seems ok. You'll find the list of broken links on the Errors | Broken links page and 4SEO will show you for each where the bad links has been found.

You can also check the sitemap, the sitemap link can be copy/pasted from the Sitemaps page in 4SEO.

Best regards
