Dear Weeblr,

I don't know if you ever recieved my original ticket!  I mentioned that I've designed my own websites many years ago and had no problem getting website traffic, even though I did all the editing using only a text editor and developing directly in CSS and HTML!  But now the story is entirely different!  Even with 4SEO, I'm still concerned that my website traffic will not increase enough to satisfy me.  I'm still not clear on how to make good use of "rules".  The only rule I've created, was the one for getting Google Analytics to "work".  I haven't the slightest idea how to create an effective rule for any purpose...despite being a "self taught" C/C++ programmer!

Sincerely,

Arthur Baldwin

Hi

I received and replied within a few minutes to your original ticket. Have you not received my response? If so, you may want to check your SPAM folder and whitelist our email address, contact at weeblr dot com.

What we can provide you with as part of support is assistance on how to use 4SEO.  However we cannot decide for you what needs to be done, we are not SEO consultant and can only reply to questions on how to use the software, not what to do with it.

Note that 4SEO already does quite a few things by itself such adding canonical links where needs be, add structured data for your articles and build an XML and images sitemaps.

Other functions, which are not running automatically, such as setting up redirects or custom canonical, structured data, meta data,... are tools that you can use to perform changes on your site, or to respond to changes to your site, made to improve your SEO results. We can respond to question about how to use them but have no idea on which one should be used or how or when on your site.

That's the job of an SEO consultant, who can analyze your site content (the most important part by far), site organization and possibly define additional actions to be taken.

With a stock 4SEO install, you should have all the technical SEO covered, the part done on your site, and your content is likely to be the most important part of the site success. The next steps to bring traffic is usually not done on the site but through more traditional marketing techniques, social networks, maybe local listing in Google My Business for instance. These are not things I can advice on, just things I know  people do after the site itself has been optimized.

The same applies to your initial question on designing. For that part (and even as a starter for SEO), I woudl suggest you aks questions on the Joomla forum. There's even a dedicated SEO section and likely the general help area is where you can ask advice on design and design tools.

Best regards

Yannick Gaultier
