Hi :-)

In the "description" 4SEO apparently omits text in parentheses.

Is there a setting I have to adjust or is it possibly a bug?

Example text:

Der Bundesarbeitskreis Arbeit und Leben ist einer der sechs großen Träger der außerschulischen politischen Jugendbildung mit Förderung durch den Kinder- und Jugendplan des Bundes (KJP) des Bundesministeriums für Familie, Senioren, Frauen und Jugend (BMFSFJ).

Result:

Mind the missing "(KJP)" and "(BMFSFJ)" — which in our case is highly important as the abbreviation is part of the organisation's name.

Thanks for that, I just wanted to confirm my first impression.

So the meta tag that you displayed in your first message is not from 4SEO. All items added to a page by 4SEO are marked as such with a class attribute starting with "4seo_".

In this page, you have 2 sets of OpenGraph meta. These are the ones generated by 4SEO:

The OG:description is equal to the page meta description - which was not auto-generated by 4SEO but came from Joomla.

The OGP tags you displayed above are coming from something else. Might be K2 if you're using that, or another extensions likely.

- what is the content type?

- any other extension running on the site that relates to meta data, OGP tags?

Yes, you are right. I completely forgot about the plugins "Phoca Open Graph System Plugin" and "Phoca Open Graph Content Plugin".

Ah yes, typical reason. Did you enter custom meta data in there? the description created is different from the page description for instance.
