Hi

I purchased a license for 4seo and installed it on https://[redacted].com and also on a copy of the site I was going to use for testing joomla 4 upgrade https://[redacted].com

On the main site 4seo found 130 pages to analyse whilst the latter site 4seo found 4,590 pages.

I unistalled the 4seo component and all forseo database tables and re-installed.

It now appears analysing but stuck at 2%

I have setup a superuser account on both sites as follows;

User Name: [redacted]

Paswd: [redacted]

Joomla Version 3.10.2, Ubuntu 20.04, PHP 7.4.6, Most pages created using YOOTHEME ZOO component (I would expect to see several thousand pages)

Hi

On the main site 4seo found 130 pages to analyse whilst the latter site 4seo found 4,590 pages.

1 - Are these 2 sites running on the same server, with the exact same server configuration (PHP, mysql, etc)

2 - You said you are testing J4 update on the second one. What have you updated to J4 yet?

3 - Your sh404SEF configuration has this:

This is incorrect and should be removed entirely.

On the test site, this is also set but set to : https://[redacted].com which is slightly better.

On both sites, this setting should be empty.

I have emptied it on the live server, reset 4SEO analysis and restarted it. Will check it out a bit later to see how that goes.

Hi again,

Analysis is currently at around 450 pages on the main site, this is looking as expected. Note also that I initially moved the analysis speed cursor one notch up but had to set it back to the lower setting as I was getting "Too many requests" errors from your server.

Please report back of what happens, I assume analysis will take a couple of hours at this rate.

Best regards

Hi Yannick

They are on 2 seperate servers;

https://[redacted].comUbuntu 20.04.3 LTS, PHP 7.4.6, MARIADB  10.3.31, Apache 2

https://[redacted].comUbuntu 20.04.3 LTS, PHP 7.4.3, MARIADB 10.5.12, Apache 2

I have not attempted a Joomla 4 update. There are too many non-compatible extensions so I have to wait until these are made ready by the developers.

Your comments on SH404SEF "Home page URL" configuration is noted and removed from 2nd site.

Is the "TO MANY REQUESTS" a PHP error? If so presumably a change is required in the PHP.INI file, any idea what?

Hi

No, this is from 4SEO. When you run the analysis from the admin, there's a slider that lets you select how fast you want 4SEO to run the analysis. By default it's on "Lower" which is fine on most servers but rather conservative.

I tried increasing the analysis speed but I saw errors in the developers tools console saying that I was going to fast, so I reset the slider to its initial position.

Both servers are owned and run by myself and I know of no reason why there would be any issues with workload.

Hi

Both servers are owned and run by myself and I know of no reason why there would be any issues with workload.

There's no problem with workload - which is hard to detect from a PHP script. It's self-imposed limitations. If your site has traffic, then the background analysis is running and doing some parts of the analysis. As I am also running the analysis in the backend, the total of requests is likely greater than what 4SEO allows itself and so we slow down to avoid that.

Morning Yannick

I checked my server and the 4seo component does seem to have indexed all pages now. However, I note that neither of the two websites running 4SEO have actually created a sitemap file in the root directory?

https://[redacted].com/sitemap-4seo.xml

https://[redacted].com/sitemap-4seo.xml

Hi

Correct, there's no file in the home directory. Why would you want one? Sitemaps are working and Google likely already indexed them.
