Yannick - hi!  A small thing - when I wanted to learn more about the Google Speed item, I used the Link in the Help text for the Pages page.  Unfortunately, that page links to:  www.xxxx.com/performance

4SEO also performs another type of analysis: Core Web Vitals measurements. This is Google latest way of including performance in their ranking. Learn more on next page, Performance analysis.

Thought you'd like to know.

Best, Todd

Hi

Thanks for the report. it's actually surprisingly difficult to fix. The link works fine on the help site but I have to rewrite them when the help text is displayed inside the component and that particular one is complicated for... reasons.

I have opened a tracker item for that and should be able to fix with a bit of time.

Best regards

Yannick - you're welcome!

FWIW - I like the way Help is displayed in sh404SEF - a single page with a "table of contents" linked to items on your site (Personal preference - I like having access to all the documentation via one landing page).  Is this an easier technique that what is used in 4SEO?

Hi

Is this an easier technique that what is used in 4SEO?

It's a different purpose. In sh404SEF, there is no documentation. Just a page with a handful of links to actual pages on the site. It's static and is of course trivial to do. You have to click the link and go to the website to read any documentation.

In 4SEO, you don't have to go somewhere else, the doc is right where you need it. If I take you Analytics issue we discussed in your other ticket, the "Custom code" analytics input fields looks like this:

You have a one line help text but if you press the Help button, you are shown the exact paragraph from the documention you need to read about that specific input field:

You can open and close it at will and don't have to open another browser tab to read. That makes me think I could add a button to actually open that page on the documentation website for those who want it.

Yannick - sounds good - AND may make things easier for you to maintain!  I look forward to that button in a future release.

Hi Todd,

I look forward to that button in a future release.

That button has been there on most input fields from day one! The above is a screenshot from current 4SEO.

Best regards
