Hi, last year I created a new site based on another site. The original site had 4SEO installed, but the new site was really simple and the owner had no interest in SEO, so 4SEO was uninstalled there.

Now hoever, 4SEO needs to be installed again, so I uploaded and installed the package again. The site tells me that the installation was successfull, but when I click the link to go to the component, the component is not there. Are there perhaps old remains in the filesystem that could have created the issue?

In System >> Extensions, the component, package and plugins seem nicely installed, and after installation, Joomla detected that there was an update for the component that was also installed correctly.

That's not something 4SEO would have an impact on, menus, installation and so on are a Joomla thing.

My best guess is that you did not uninstall 4SEO, or at least not properly, or it was disabled before being uninstalled? and maybe 4SEO is disabled in the Joomla list of extensions?
