Hi Yannick !

I hope you are enjoying your summer :)

I have just installed 4SEO for this website which was using RSSEO (cfr our chat ~one month ago).

Indeed I switched from their old to their new website on Friday.

But I have an issue : everything seems to be configured correctly, but when I click on Analyse Now, nothing is added on the Pages list. Even after a while. And I have already tried numerous times.

Then I tested with "Add/Refresh Page" in order to add manually. There is indeed the popup confirming that the page was succesfully analyzed... but still nothing appears on the Pages list.

What am I missing ? Txs !

(only special thing about the website: it is multilingual : /nl, /en... but for French it is simply /)

PS : I have already done/checked the following :

- no error in the Console
- J5's standard .htaccess (only added the redirection to force www and to force https://)
- Admin Tools is disabled
- nothing in the WAF logs of the host

Hi

But I have an issue : everything seems to be configured correctly, but when I click on Analyse Now, nothing is added on the Pages list. Even after a while. And I have already tried numerous times.

Means something is blocking access, for instance robots, or another extension.

Then I tested with "Add/Refresh Page" in order to add manually. There is indeed the popup confirming that the page was succesfully analyzed... but still nothing appears on the Pages list.

Same. Success message means that the analysis took place successfully, not that the page was added.

(only special thing about the website: it is multilingual : /nl, /en... but for French it is simply /)

As long as this is Joomla native ML system, it's expected and normal.

- no error in the Console
- J5's standard .htaccess (only added the redirection to force www and to force https://)
- Admin Tools is disabled
- nothing in the WAF logs of the host

Without full and real URLs, not much can be done...

Best regards

Txs Yannick,

Oh, you replied immediately actually... but I got no notification msg. Is that normal ?

In the meantime, I had just found the root cause txs to https://weeblr.com/doc/products.forseo/current/troubleshooting/

site was still on no-index,no-follow during development and I was not aware that it was preventing 4SEO from analyzing. I understand the logic now that I know of course :)

Txs again & see you soon !

No, looked in to spam?

Yes, it's mandatory that 4SEO - by defaults - behaves like Google and other search engines. Else it would not be an SEO extension.

Of course you can by-pass that if you want, but I don't advice you do: this is a very good way for 4SEO to "signal" SEO issue to you.

In addition, when the site is in development, you should NOT use noindex, nofollow either. These are only suitable for "well-behaved" search engines but not for all other bots, including AI bots often.

That means that even with noindex, your site may be indexed by them, and links to its pages can be found on other sites. Meaning that Google and Bing will find them, and may even display them in search results (without content as noindex prevents them for getting the content).

The only proper way for a site during development is a .htaccess Basic auth user/password or similar, that's the only way you can be sure links to your site won't be found in Google.
