Hi Team,
We recently updated the redirection rules for our website. Following the completion of these redirection rules within the SEO tools section, we encountered an issue where the front-end view for the pages created using our SP Page Builder components is not displaying correctly. Specifically, instead of showing the intended pages, the website redirects to the homepage without changing the URL, although the homepage content is displayed.

To address this, we have already made updates under the "Do Not run on this/these pages" - /{*}/edit/{*}  - It's working fine.

But we need to know we have to do this for all the redirections that we create.

Could you please investigate this issue to determine the root cause and provide us with the appropriate solutions?

Thank you for your assistance.

Hi

the website redirects to the homepage without changing the URL

If the URL does not change, this is not a redirect. The definition of a redirect is that the URL is changed from the original to another one.

But we need to know we have to do this for all the redirections that we create.

Only if you create redirects that apply to the SP Page builder URLs.  But again, if no URL change happens, then I don't see how this is related to redirects.

Could you please investigate this issue to determine the root cause and provide us with the appropriate solutions?

Not sure what I can "investigate".  You should start first by clearly defining what you are doing wrong:

1 - Of course, no support can be done without full and real URL of the site

2 - In this particular case, you should also provide a full and real URL of the given SP Page builder URL that does not work

3 -

To address this, we have already made updates under the "Do Not run on this/these pages" - /{*}/edit/{*} - It's working fin

If you fixed the problem by adding that particular condition, then it would indicate that it's the other conditions ("Run on this/these pages") that are wrong. So what exactly have you entered there? and also where are you redirecting to in that rule.

Still with the caveat that if no redirect happens, I don't know how redirect rules are involved. But maybe you are breaking some internal SPPage builders requests for instance, preventing it to display anything?

Please check the recorded file and let us know of any changes.

Is this correct way to update redirections?

Hi

There's no attached file and you certainly won't be able to upload any form of video to this support helpdesk.

Is this correct way to update redirections?

There's no correct way to update anything. Updating a rule is just about pressing Save.

What data you enter in the input fields, there's nothing correct or not, it's just your decision.

I would urge you to exactly reply to the questions I posed.

Best regards

Please refer to all 3 images.

Step 1: Image 1

Step 2: Image 2

Step 3: Image 3

Hi

So first you did not send Image2, instead you sent image 1 twice.

Second: these images do not help at all. There's nothing to investigate here because you are not providing the required information.

Here are the real questions I need answers to:

1 - Of course, no support can be done without full and real URL of the site

2 - In this particular case, you should also provide a full and real URL of the given SP Page builder URL that does not work

3 - If you fixed the problem by adding that particular condition, then it would indicate that it's the other conditions ("Run on this/these pages") that are wrong. So what exactly have you entered there? and also where are you redirecting to in that rule.

Just answer exactly these questions. Nothing else.

Best regards

Main Reasons for this issue:

We updated the Automation Redirection script for 358 URLs from the RSSEO plug-in to the 4SEO plugin yesterday.

After we have updated the redirections, all the webpages that we created using the SPPage builder are not working on the front-end editor.

1 - Of course, no support can be done without the full and real URL of the site

Ans: The issue is not with the redirection rule. It's working fine. But creating an issue with the SPPage builder components.

2 - In this particular case, you should also provide a full and real URL of the given SP Page builder URL that does not work:

For example https://www.example.in/english-proficiency-test/ielts/academic-vs-general - it's working fine on the live

But if try to edit this page: https://www.example.in/english-proficiency-test/ielts/academic-vs-general/edit/800

- The URL will open but the content will show this page [example.in]. Not able to edit this page.

3 - If you fixed the problem by adding that particular condition, then it would indicate that it's the other conditions ("Run on this/these pages") that are wrong. So what exactly have you entered there? and also where are you redirecting to in that rule?

Please understand there is no issue with the redirection rule. But creating issues because of the redirection rule setting.

Hi

Please understand there is no issue with the redirection rule. But creating issues because of the redirection rule setting.

No idea what that means. "redirection rule " and "redirection rule settings" are the same things.

The problem comes from what you have entered as a redirect condition. One of your rules is being triggered and that blocks the loading of SPPageBuilder.

You still have not responded to question number 3, which makes it impossible to provide any support:

So what exactly have you entered there?

At this stage, we are not making any progress so please provide us with superadmin credentials to your website. You can create a temporary account, and delete it afterward, but it must have superuser level. Just paste the credentials here in this ticket and use a dummy email address such as [email protected].

We have updated the redirection for the index.php URLs. That's why it causes problems. Once we delete the redirection rule from the 4SEO plugin, it fixes the issues.

Hi

From: https://www.example.in/index.php

To: https://www.example.in

Ah yes, of course. Under no circumstances should you have such a redirect. This is guaranteed to break a lot of extensions and even Joomla.

You should not do this redirect, either using 4SEO or with your .htaccess or any other way.

Closing this ticket now, feel free to open a new one as needed. If you do so, please mention this ticket number in the new one.

If you created any superadmin account for us, be sure to delete or block it now to avoid unnecessary risk in the future.
