In te Sitempas tab, the XML sitemap URL reports: https://example.it/sitemap-4seo.xml

In the Sitempas settings, the Add to robots.txt file is set to Yes.

Nevertheless, the robots.txt contains:

# 4SEO-sitemap: sitemap - added on 2024-02-21 09:18:10 - Please do not modify manually.
Sitemap: https://www.example.it/sitemap-4seo.xml
User-agent: *
Allow: /sitemap-4seo

Can the www be a problem?

Hi

Can the www be a problem?

You should test for yourself, just load it in your browser.

It's not really a problem, but you need to fix that.

The problem is what we discussed in your other tickets and the fact you were using the site sometimes with www and sometimes without www (and possibly changes in settings).

The first thing to do is make sure 4SEO is configured correctly:

This input field must have exactly https://example.it/

This is because you added the redirect somewhere and now the site is always accessed through https://example.it/.

When you have done that, have 4SEO update the robots.txt by:

- go to Sitemaps | Settings

- set Add to robots.txt file to No

- wait a few seconds

- set back Add to robots.txt file to Yes

This will cause 4SEO to first remove the line about the sitemap from the robots.txt and then add it back, this time with the current website home address.

Done.

I did as you said. Now the URL is correct.

Thank you so much!
