Hi,
I updated 4AI and the widget disappeared... even with the keyboard shortcut I can't display it.

Thanks,
Lorenzo

Hi

Can't guess, really. What are your Joomla version, on which website are you doing this? do you have errors in the Developer tools console of your browsers?

Maybe you want to download the zip again and install over? maybe the update was only partial and some files are missing?

Best regards

...I downloaded and reinstalled the extension over the other one and everything went back to normal.
Strange because I had a similar problem with 4Command, anyway thanks.

Hi

I suspect this is due to caching (opcache, php level) on your server. During the update, I read the value stored in a file, but it's possible that on some servers, when reading the file I still get the previous version. This results in the main new javascript file being deleted instead of the old one.

There are some protections in place against this but maybe the opcache_reset function is disabled (or made ineffective) on your server. This may be the case on shared hosting for instance. What type of hosting are you using?

Best regards

yes indeed my host uses OPcache as cache system, I'm on a shared server

Hi

Is there a way you can ask them if the functions opcache_reset and opcache_invalidate are enabled and active on their server?

Best regards

Hi

Hmm, I don't know then. I have had no other report, and  I have updated myself a number of sites with either 4Command or 4AI with no issue.

It may be related to the version you were running before maybe? Was it the previous or an old one?

Best regards

On live site 4AI hasn't been updated yet, it's v4.6.0.529
4Command was updated last week on all my sites, so I don't know...

We'll see with the next updates...
