I have upgraded to the new 4AI.
Joomla v4.3.2 4AI vv2.1.0.371 Enable keyboard shortcuts set to "off'
1. When 4AI opens from the floating button in Joomla article, all 4AI buttons are unresponsive including the close.
2. The browser tab has to be refreshed to force a close.
What would you suggest please?

I would need superadmin access to that site. You have another extension interfering, likely some javascript code throwing an error but I need to check if this is javacript or CSS.

You have some security system (or possibly just URL rewriting) blocking 4AI access to some of its files:
The files are:
https://example.au/media/com_forai/vendor/weeblr/forai/assets/encoder/encoder.json
https://example.au/media/com_forai/vendor/weeblr/forai/assets/encoder/vocab.bpe
You need to make these files can be accessed normally. I suspect your webserver is configured to block them, but the blocking may also be the result of using security extensions running in Joomla.

The issue is now resolved, and this ticket can be closed.
FYI the two files were blocked by Admin tools. The developer provided the fix below.

Components, Admin Tools, Control Panel, .htaccess Maker.
Find the Allow direct access to these files setting. Create two new lines (press the green + icon) and enter the following content in the respective entry box on each line
Important: there is no trailing slash.
Click on Save & Create .htaccess in the toolbar at the top of the page.

Thanks for getting back at us. I have copied the above instructions to a new Troubleshooting page in 4AI documentation.
Hopefully I can get Akeeba to include these changes by default in a future version.
