4SEO shows all analyzed pages on your website

Summer has ended: so many updates

 Hi all,

No vacation, extensions released through summer, up to today

While I did not bother you with posts and newsletters since June, that does not mean development and releases stopped.

In fact, quite the opposite: we had 15 releases over the summer, covering all extensions. Pretty much everything got updated, multiple times.

The focus was a bit on features and a lot on performance and reliability. Here is the breakdown of the main changes:

4SEO

A lot of work went into improving the crawler. The crawler is responsible for figuring out automatically:

  • which page is canonical or duplicate
  • which image is the most important on a page
  • and a lot of other, deeper SEO things...

But on some sites, with content changing often, it would re-analyze pages that did not need that, and would start to accumulate a backlog of pages to crawl. This would also prevent new and changed pages from being identified quickly.

We fixed all that, and performance should now be vastly improved for all. There were also a lot of additions and improvements, but that's what changelogs are for!

4AI

  • new permission system: disable chat or Image creation for some of your users (using Joomla standard ACL)
  • transform/update content from regular inputs instead of just Joomla editors
  • support for Gemini 3.8-flash, 3.7-flash, 3.6-flash, 3.5-flash-lite, Gemini 3.1 Flash image
  • support for OpenAI gpt-6-sol, gpt-6-luna, gpt-5.6-luna

4Analytics

The extension was improved, but lots of work also went into the AI analysis backend, to make it better at identifying changes and trends.

  • AI analysis now computes and sends a short historical baseline dataset, to better identify up or down trends
  • support for new utm_source parameter from Gemini/Google chat
  • data aggregation is now done in small batches, can accomodate even the largest datasets
  • Visitors locations now show "Unknown" and "Other" separately

4Podcast

Went through a lot of small but important improvements:

  • support for seasons and episodes
  • support for Trailer and Bonus episodes
  • support up to 4 topic categories per channel
  • removed limits on number of episodes in feed
  • added filters to customize episode data such as the GUID
  • explicit tagging can be done per episode

4SEF and 4Command also had significant updates, you can view the details on their documentation page or the Releases page.

That's all for now, more soon!

Cheers,

Yannick
