Hello,

We're pleased to announce the release of 4SEF version 4.0.0. This is is a feature and maintenance release, compatible with Joomla 3 to 6 without compatibility plugin.

IMPORTANT: This is a major release because created URLs will change for a very specific use case: 

On a content blog or list category view filtered with tags, URLs were similar to: /blog?filter_tag[0]=3.

They are now similar to /blog/example-tag.

 

Here are the highlights:

  • Updated pagination class
  • Can show an error message under some circumstances if the Joomla SEF system plugin is disabled
  • If using both a blog/list view for a category and a blog/list view filtered by tag for that same category, pagination on the filtered page uses the non-filtered links
  • When auto-redirecting for trailing slash or letter cases, an extra lang parameter can be added on multilingual websites
  • When using a custom suffix different from .html, duplicates can be created separately, instead of being recognized and grouped
  • Auto-redirect after customizing a URL does not work for single articles if adding a suffix to URL is enabled
  • Customizing a URL fails if attempted after first opening the duplicates URL list. Happens only when using the Customize URL toolbar button instead of directly clicking the URL itself in the list
