I have a development site, which is an identical copy of the live site. Is it possible to set my SEF urls on the devsite, then transfer these to live (by reproducing the database or other)?

Hi

There is no difference between Joomla SEF and sh404SEF on this topic. If you correctly create your links in menu and articles, they will be correctly created on any location, dev or live.

The key is to only use non-sef links in your links, but that's what editors do normally.
