Hello,

where I can find some info about the proper way to upgrade a Joomla 1.5 to 3.x with sh404SEF installed?

I also think I will need the latest version for Joomla 1.5, but I can't find it in the downloads section.

Hi

Here is the place to find info!

You should not need sh404SEF for J! 1.5 to upgrade to a more recent version of Joomla. As Joomla! changed it's non-SEF URL structure between 1.5 and 1.6+, there's no conversion or import to be done.
If you were not using sh404SEF on the old site, then your URLs are going to be different, and you have to have some redirects put in place from old URLs to new ones. Note that this would be the same whether you use just Joomla or Joomla+sh404SEF

If you had sh404SEF on the old site, the normal procedure would be to upgrade, install sh404SEFon the new site. Most URLs recreated then should be the same as the one you had on Joomla! 1.5. You will have to list URL before and after and spot the differences, or just redirect URLs from old site to new site, and check the 404 logs. You might then either add more redirects, or manually customize all or some of the URLs to match the old ones.
