#906 – Title Meta Tags

 Problem: There are no meta title tags since a few days.

Configuration / Seo / Page Title:
[page title of content] - [site name of web project]

Old function:
[page title of content] - [site name of web project]

New function / mistake:
Project 1: [site name of the web project] vgl. System / Konfiguration / Site / Name of the Website
Project 2: [name of menu item] / [site name of web project]
or
[site name of web project] / [site name of the project]

is wrong. What were you expecting?
Is deutscher-bundestag-berlin-besichtigung-vortrag-fuehrung-und-gespraech-fuer-gruppen the part that is wrong?

The url ist ok, but the title tag <title> ..... </title> is wrong.

Where is this title coming from?

I think it would be easier if you could provide us with superadmin credentials to your website. You can create a temporary account, and delete it afterwards, but it must have superuser level.

Hi,

The title IS correct! But you set in the configuration of sh404SEF to append " - Gruppenreisen und Klassenfahrten Wien" after the title. If this is not what you wanted you have to clear this field.

"Datenschutzerklärung" is the name of a menu item.

you are using Page cache and this prevents the changes to been seen if you are not emptying the cache.

Hi,

This is due to the fact that you are using Page Cache as your caching system. In such case the replacement of the meta and title will not happen since the plugin will not be fired. You should be use the other caching mechanism in Joomla found under Global Configuration as it is more flexible (unless of course the use of static pages is a prerequisite)
