 Bonjour,

Sylvain

I have many 404 with links with FCKeditor or editor, and I read on some forums that it was an attack on the site. Can you tell me what it is, and how to manage these errors to stop them.
Thanks for your help.

Hi,

Could you provide one such link that ends up to a 404 page? Also how did you insert that link, was it manual entry or through a button bellow the editor? I presume that these are internal links (pointing to the same website).

Hi,

Examples of urls 404, but there are many others :

* admin/FCKeditor/editor/filemanager/browser/default/connectors/asp/connector.asp
* editor/editor/filemanager/browser/default/connectors/asp/connector.asp
* editorold/editor/
* fckeditor/editor/filemanager/connectors/php/upload.php

Best regards

Hi Sylvain,

These URLs are obviously wrong. The good part is that these are detected as 404 and treated like that. That means there is no problem as long as wrong URLs are returned as 404 page.

Some further insights on this:
Websites are exposed to URLs that a user might input (manually or programmatically). The correct response for non existent URLs is to report them as 404 pages. This is where sh404SEF’s functionality reassures that this behavior is always followed by your site.
