Hi

Can I ask what make you think this is related to sh404SEF?

If you think it's related to sh404SEF, we'll need superadmin credentials to the site to review configuration and other extensions.

Hi

Actually, we're also using EasyDiscuss, so I searched the URL list for "/re-" and I could find one such URL on our site. Visiting it yields the same result, with an EasyDiscuss error (Controller not found).

The real question is actually where do those URLs come from. They look perfectly valid, but I can't dinf them anywhere. I though they could be from the RSS feed, but I don't publish any. It's not counted as an invalid URL in Google search console either, meaning it's not visible from the outside.

To be honest, I don't think there's any problem with sh404SEF here. It's more likely to be an issue with EasyDiscuss, which somehow creates a link, but cannot honor it.

It'd be interesting to ask Stackideas where such a link can come from, on which occasion they create those links and why thay can't be accessed on the frontend without this error.

Hi,

We'll try get in touch when my colleague Dimitris is back next week. No ETA on that though. Again, I don't think there's any problem here.

The /discussion.html#reply-1206 style URLs don't need to be stored in database, because they're actually not separate URLs:

/discussion.html#reply-1206 means to go to the page /discussion.html, and scroll the page to the marker (technically, an anchor) #reply-1206

So you only have one page here, that contains all replies (/discussion.html), and they put anchors (#reply-1206, #reply-1207, etc) on the page at each new reply.

As for the config, there's nothing really that can be deemed as "correct", especially if you didn't change the default. Each extension is different, and we have little knowledge of most of them really.
