Hello,

I have some non sef URLs that are NOT listed in url manager. Can I customize these URLs? I saw the 301 redirect from non sef to sef url option in configuration, should I try this?

I know how to customize the sef URLs that are listed in url manager, in the previous support ticket, I was directed to the document page showing this and got no futher support.

Thanks.

Hi

Support does NOT operate on weekends. Though it may happen, do not expect any reply on weekends.

A 301 redirect is a redirect (ie sending someone from one page to another), it's not related to customizing a URL.
As seen in the other ticket, you use the NEW button to create a custom URL as you see fit, thus associating a non-sef URL to a SEF URL.

OK, thanks.

Another URL related question;
It seems that there are some old and unnecessary URLs in the site. What would you recommend about them, is it ok to ignore or should I do something?

Thanks,

Hi

You mean in the site, or in the URL manager?
If on the site, if you decide to remove them, simply delete their URL in the URL manager. sh404SEF will thus trigger a 404 if someone request them and they'll be removed by search engines from their index progressively

If in the URL manager, be sure that they are not needed. There's no benefit to remove 5 or 10 URLs from the database, but if they're actually used somewhere, they might be missed!
