Hello we found, better we found not, same 404 site with a external tool (Sixtrix).
Now we can see the different Itemid's from the not working side, but we don't know what it mean. How we can find for example this: Itemid=470?
Can we find this in sh404SEF? If yes, how?

A smaller Problem - If we safe something in the config of sh404SEF we received is error message (please have a look in the attachment 2015-07-30-sh404sef_message)

Thanks for your answer.

Hi,

The second problem is either a deleted category or indeed something went terrible wrong on the installation procedure. Please first make sure that you haven’t deleted the sh404SEF category, if you did you need to restore it back. If that is not the case, please try to reinstall sh404SEF on top of your current installation.

About the error 404 on those pages: I am not so sure how Sixtrix is working and what are all those URLs in the picture. But for sure your homepage: xxxx.de/ should have a URL like xxxx.de/ and not like all those in the picture.

Regards

Hi

All those broken links comes from your site footer (just hover over the links in the footer). Fix the links in the footer and all should go back to normal.

Hi

Not sure I understand your question?

As stated above, those bad links are on your footer, so you should modify/update them to the correct links using the same method you used to create them in the first place?

Hi wb_weeblt,
tank you - yes, we changed it. now it works.

My questions was, how you found it out that the error items are in the footer menu. I don't really think surf about our site an search the wrong items. What has you do to find the item?

Hi

Well you said your software was that xxxx.de/?itemid=470 (for example) was a 404 so I went to the page xxxx.de and I searched for "Itemid=470" in the source code of the page.

Hi

Yes, your software tells you on which page the bad link is ("Link von") so with that information, you only have to search on that page, and usually it's pretty quick to find.
