Hi Yannick,

temporarily I had to install one joomla instance in a subdirectory of root until a whole rebuild of the new website will be finished. Generelly SEF URLs are fine except ht "home" URLs.

It is a multilanguage website and I tried several ways to setup the url but with the language switcher I do always receive interferences to other urls than the base url.

The urls should read xy.com/subfolder/at/ and xy.com/subfolder/de/

Using the language switcher I do alway receive alias added to one of the urls. The hreflang reads the same. Like xy.com/subfolder/de/ refers to xy.com/subfolder/at/xyz

I found this configuration with no success. https://joomla.stackexchange.com/questions/4264/multilingual-associations-single-articles-for-home-page-duplicate-home-url

I found one ticket here where you describe to change the joomla settings in SH404 in regards to the alias handling with no success.

Your help is very much apprechiated.

Best regards

Hi

temporarily I had to install one joomla instance in a subdirectory of root until a whole rebuild of the new website will be finished. Generelly SEF URLs are fine except ht "home" URLs.

Where the site instance is located does not matter here. With Joomla, URLs are built relative to the root of the site, not the actual "domain".

It is a multilanguage website and I tried several ways to setup the url but with the language switcher I do always receive interferences to other urls than the base url.

1. This is Joomla multilingual system, right? not Falang?

2. Did you start from fresh install on that instance? or was it a backup of an existing site that you restored in that new location?

3. Does the same happen with Protostar? Note that you'll need to Purge URLs after switching to the Protostar template so that new ones are rebuilt.

4. This kind of issues is normally related to the menu items setup, article setups and language configuration. Generally speaking, you should not "associates" home page menu items, as well as the articles (if those are articles) that are linked to each menu item.

If either the menu items or the articles (or categories,...) for the home pages are associated, then dissociate them and delete all the corresponding URLs with all duplicates.
