Hi there,
Regarding ticket #628 I am not able to create superadmin credentials for you to check the site, for that I need written authorization from my IT boss and that is not easy to obtain. I´m still waiting for his reply... Isn´t there any other option?

I have installed the new version of SH404SEF but still it is not working. Can we work something out?

Thanks a lot for your support. Best,
Nagore

Hi,

This error message means that the Joomla article is not found.
The 99% reason this happens is because the article has been renamed to something else than "__404__" or the sh404sef custom content category has been renamed or unpublished or deleted.

Can you please check that both article and the category are still published and with correct titles?

Regards

Thanks a lot Dimitris. I checked the article name and the category before but I have now re-checked and realized that even if in the article listing everything seems to be ok (article name "_404_" and Category: "sh404SEF custom content"), if I go to the categoy listing there is no category with that name and if I enter the article, the Category assigned is a different one. Strange! I have attached the snapshots for both article and category listings (it does not make any sense, I know).

What I have tried is to:
1- Clear Joomla Cache
2- Create a new Category with the name "sh404SEF custom content". If I leave the alias field empty, an error occurs saying that there is another category with the same alias (Attached snapshot).
3- I have created a new category with the "sh404SEF custom content" name and a custom Alias.
4 - I have chosen the new category for the article _404_
5- A different error page is now shown (attached snapshot "error_404.png").

I think we are getting closer. Thanks a lot for your help. Best,
Nagore

Hi,

Create a new Category with the name "sh404SEF custom content". If I leave the alias field empty, an error occurs saying that there is another category with the same alias (Attached snapshot).

First delete the category you just created!
Now if you check your trash you will find the deleted category. Juste restore it and everything should be fine.
