Hello,

I have built a Joomla site from scratch to test sh404sef before incorporating it to my website, with the following features:

- 2 languages: Catalan and English (the default language is Catalan)

- 1 category called BLOG

- 2 articles, one from each language, all in the BLOG category

- plugin language switcher activated

- language switcher module published

- sh404SEF Enable URL optimization = true

The URL's are generated badly, adding languages wrongly at the end of the url's. For example, if from the main page you click on the English flag to change the language, instead of taking you to https://xxxx.joomla.com/en/ it takes you to https://xxxx.joomla.com/en/ca/

If you disable sh404SEF "Enable URL optimization", purge URL's and clear Joomla cache, it does work correctly.

If you leave enabled sh404SEF "Enable URL optimization" and disable the language switcher plugin it also works.

But if you turn on sh404SEF "Enable URL optimization" and publish the language switcher plugin, it stops working.

The public URL is https://xxxx.joomla.com/

Yes, please provide us with superadmin credentials to your website. You can create a temporary account, and delete it afterward, but it must have superuser level. I need to review exactly how you set the multilingual system in Joomla.

This is with Joomla multilingual system, right? not falang?

the website is built with the multilingual system provided by the Joomla core, without extensions.

For some reason the Language filter system plugin had been moved AFTER the sh404SEF system plugin, causing this problem. The language filter plugin comes with Joomla so it's always before (that's why the language code was added at the end of the URLs).

I have seen that a very few times but I could not remember the why so I installed the French language pack to test if the Catalan did not have a problem - which also happens sometimes. I changed all Catalan content to French but that did not help that's when I looked at the plugins.

I reverted all the languages changes but the French language pack is still installed.
