Hi,

I'm with the very last version of joomla virtuemart ans sh404

I'm facing a strange behaviour when I activate sh404 rewriting, the user session expire way sooner than the setting and this happen erratically, without any reason.
When let joomla do it by itself, all is fine.

Do you have any idea about this ?

Perhaps you'll need more detail, so just ask.

Thanks a lot
Greg

Hi

Do you have any idea about this ?

Absolutely not. I never heard of anything like this in the 13 years I have now been working with sh404SEF.

The only thing I can think of that may be related to that is if you are somehow using Joomla "Cookie settings" and set a "Cookie path".

Then maybe when sh404SEF the URLs changes and the path you selected as a the cookie path is not the same, or does not exist anymore.

If so, you can try clearing that cookie path unless you have a very good reason to keep it (not sure what that would be). If you need it, then maybe the path should be updated to whatever sh404SEF produces now. Again, there should normally not be any path set here.

If not that then no, I don't see how sh404SEF could be related. I'd suggest disabling one by one System plugins you may be using to try identifying where that can come from. There's of course no issue between sh404SEF and Virtuemart, which are a very common combination.

Ok thanks for reply

no cookie path set currently

I will try one by one so, already found that com_vmsales (Virtuemart Sales PRO), react very strangely so I set it to joomla router only.

Hi

already found that com_vmsales (Virtuemart Sales PRO)

OK. I was more talking about plugins. Components are unlikely to do anything about sessions and logging out users. System plugins are the more likely culprits.
