So, I am beginning to love this program.
Yes, its a learning curve, but I am getting their thanks to some of your documentation and help.

What I have noticed is that when I run our paid SEO software called, RavenTools it can't crawl. That and when I run things like GtMetrix and Google Speed Developer as well.. Its more like the homepage won't run, but if I do a link aside from homepage it works; like xxxx.com/forum.

What needs to be set in order to allow access to our software when we want to run it?

I tried to run the following attached and attempted to find the "log" files, but there are no such files in the area mentioned..

Hi

I'm afraid I don't see any reason why and how that would be linked to using sh404SEF. Those are very common tools used on a daily basis by thousands of people including ourselves. If you can load your home page in your browser then any body can, that's where sh404SEF stops.

I'm not saying it's not happening, it obviously is, just that I cannot imagine any mechanism by which your home page would load when requested in a browser and not by one of those tools.

[EDIT] So I just tested your home page and indeed it renders a 404 for the home page!!!

This is something you need to fix urgently.I can't tell you why it's happening but you you probably want to look at:

1 - Your home page menu item: what is it pointing at? an article? is that article published?
2 - Disable sh404SEF and see if the same happens
3 - If not, did you set any security rule? what happens if you set "Enable security functions" to "No"

What needs to be set in order to allow access to our software when we want to run it?
Nothing.

I tried to run the following attached and attempted to find the "log" files
What did you "run" exactly? you mean you enabled "Log attacks" while it was not before?

attempted to find the "log" files, but there are no such files in the area mentioned..

1 - You'll find log files only if some attacks were identified. If nothing identified as an attack was recorded, there would be no log file
2 - The log files are stored in Joomla log files folder. Depending on how old your Joomla site is, this can be either /logs or /administrator/logs

Fudge Brownies... We figured it out, thanks to you..

Sooooooo sorry for immediately thinking it was sh404.
What had happened was...... I deleted a component called, "Blank Component"; which didn't play well.

This was what the homepage was created with; so when I deleted the component, it did exactly what you probably were thinking.

Thanks so much for your help and again; I apologize for placing this ticket..
