To whom it may concern:

I have a sh404SEF currently installed on my Joomla website, it was installed by a developer but I am not able to update the plugin and for that reason there are many configuration error messages appearing on the dashboard. (Please see attached screen shot) However, I just now purchase my own registered copy and have a Update key.

QUESTIONS:

If I were to upload the new sh404SEF onto my website, will it automatically replace the current/old plugin?

Can I update the old sh404SEF but first, by entering/using the new Update key?

If any of the above is possible, will I loose all/any of the content already embedded on my pages, such as Meta Titles, Descriptions, keywords etc?

I look forward to your reply before I proceed with using my new sh404SEF.

Those errors are not related to being outdated, they are more incorrect configuration problems.

Yes, if by upload you mean downloading a zip file from the download section here and then using the Joomla installer to install that zip.

Yes.

No. I would still suggest you make a backup of the site or test any large update on a copy of the site.
