Hi !

On our Joomla 3.4.1 site with CB 2.0.7 I now have found a major problem.

SH404SEF (4.4.8) has generated a duplicate URL for two cb user profile

SEF URL: xxxx/ has two real urls
index.php?option=com_comprofiler&Itemid=49&lang=en&user=33587&view=userprofile
index.php?option=com_comprofiler&Itemid=49&lang=en&user=38283&view=userprofile

why is this? the username of these to CB users are different. the first user has username=xxxx and the second one a completely different.

How can I fix this? I know that I could fix this manually but this could happen all the time which is worrying me a lot because we do want to bring our new site online this week.

A user has its well known sef url like site/username and now a new user registers with a complete different username and now these two users are in conflict which is worrying me a lot.

Please advise...

Those 2 people may have different username, but they may have conflicting names for instance? What are they full data: username anbd full name?

The settings are:

Insert Community Builder name: no
Insert user name: no
Insert user ID: no
Insert user pseudo: yes
Short URL to user profile: yes

I do wanne have profile urls like site.com/username - which I get with the above settings.

The username was: xxxx and xxxx - the fullname xxxx and xxxx

Hi

Technically speaking, I don' see how that's possible. This code dates back from more than 5 years, it's created short URLs for hundreds of thousands of users, at the very minimum, can't be more battle proof tested than that.

Do you have a full site backup that I can download and install locally?
Also, did you find others? Those URLs should show as duplicates, so if you select URLs for CB and "With duplicates", you may be able to find others.

The last week was insane. Our new site is online since yesterday. I've have seen this problem once and I will keep an eye on that.
