Hi,

Another question.
Is something special required in the SH404 configuration before we change our site from http into https
We will use a rewrite rule in the .htaccess file but do we need to do something in SH404 configuration too?

Hi

The scheme (http vs https) and domain of requests and links are not handled by sh404SEF but instead by Joomla. We only take care of the part of the URLs after that, so no, sh404SEF is not concerned about wether your site is HTTP or HTTPS.

THe only way this matters is in that for some features we use the "Referrer" information from your webserver, to detect if a 404 is internal or not for instance. Depending on your webserver configuration, this may stop working well or for some links.
