cannot-make-main.png:

1) Between the two non-sef urls, which one should I make main? Maybe the first one because it does not contain the category?
2) I tried everything, it does not let me choose the url I want, to make it main.

duplicate-sef-urls.png:

1) Why do I see 2 records for the same sef-url: greek-teacher.html
2) What is this key icon under the "custom" field mean?

After I fix the above issues what I really want is this. I want this to be the url:
https://xxxx.com/greek-teacher.html

I want to control it from one place. I really do not understand why I have two SEF records for the same url/page, as seen here:

Am I doing something wrong?

I read the documentation about "duplicate urls". Could not answer my question.

Hi

That's not something we would have an opinion on. The category probably does not matter but that depends on your site. Usually the deciding factor is the Itemid, the menu item, and that would entirely be dependent on your site design and menu structure.
Note that unless you have issues, there's nothing to touch here and you should not have to make "Main" URL selection your self.

HOW did you fix this exactly? having 2 URLs marked as "main" is a serious problem, the sign of a corrupted database in some way (no idea how you got there actually).

I want to control it from one place. I really do not understand why I have two SEF records for the same url/page, as seen here:
Because Joomla and the extensions on your site constantly create duplicate URLs for the same content. sh404SEF battles that by making sure all the URLs Joomla creates (as non-sef) are grouped and visible by search engines and visitors under one single SEF URL.

I am only testing. I purge the database. It became corrupted I think because I EXPORTED the links, edited the sefs to my liking and then IMPORTED back.

So what I see here is normal, or also result of corrupted database?

Yes, indeed, depending on what you did, this would have corrupted the database totally. I mean, having 2 "main" URL is wrong and will cause improper behavior of sh404SEF. Please reset the database by clearing it all.

This is wrong and caused by the import of incorrect data.
