 Hello,

I have 2 important issues with your component. When activated, some of the links of my website are not working any more, especially when the menu links are pointing to Category blog.

Concrete exemple here :
http://www.xxxx.com/fr/presse

The links to "communiqués de presse" and "dossier de presse" are both pointing to the same url http://www.xxxx.com/fr/en-cours-2015/

Also, I am using Seeblod (CCK) on some pages of the site, and now the title of my categories are transformed in sef url, like on this page :
http://www.xxxx.com/fr/les-laureats-competition-publicite-2017

Can you help me ?

Thanks

Hi

1 -

What is the non-sef URL recorded for the SEF URL fr/presse in the URL manager?

2 -
The links to "communiqués de presse" and "dossier de presse" are both pointing to the same url http://www.xxxx.com/fr/en-cours-2015/
Same question, what are the non-sef URLs recorded for that link?
And then, what are the actual menu item links that you created? pointing at some articles?

Have you talked to Seblod? sh404SEF does not change the content of a page really, just the links.

Hello,

here are answers to your questions

What is the non-sef URL recorded for the SEF URL fr/presse in the URL manager?

index.php?option=com_content&Itemid=169&lang=fr&view=featured

The links to "communiqués de presse" and "dossier de presse" are both pointing to the same url http://www.xxxx.com/fr/en-cours-2015/

Same question, what are the non-sef URLs recorded for that link?

index.php?option=com_content&Itemid=916&id=16&lang=fr&layout=dga2016%3Anews&view=category

I will try on the Forums.

Do you want access to the administration ?

Hi

1 - Can you clarify what's not working exactly? I see the same display when I visit index.php?option=com_content&Itemid=169&lang=fr&view=featured and fr/presse?

2 -
And then, what are the actual menu item links that you created? pointing at some articles?
Well then what are those links supposed to be then? the same?

We misunderstood, fr/presse is functioning well, it's the sub menus links "Communiqués de presse" and "dossier de presse" which have both the same funny url http://www.xxxx.com/fr/en-cours-2015/ instead of pointing on proper articles. Is it a duplicate problem ?

I don't get it ... sorry ! Can you be more specific.

Hi

Well, you say that those submenu items do not have the correct links (because they have the same URL). So what type of menu item are they? what is the difference between those 2 menu items? you seem to say they are linked to 2 different articles?

As I said, they point on Article Blog category, here are some screenshots to understand. They are clearly pointing on 2 different pages but the link generated is the same.

Hi

Are those the same categories with just a different layout? or different categories?

Could you please provide us with superadmin credentials to your website. You can create a temporary account, and delete it afterward, but it must have superuser level.

Thanks and regards

Hi

OK, yes there's confusion. You were not talking about menu items, but just links inside of the /fr/deauville-green-awards-la-presse page? I can't seem to find the /fr/presse menu in the actual menu.

So the problem is simple actually. Those categories all under "En cours 2015". Youe category structure is:

En cours 2015 >> Français >> Presse >> Communiqués..
En cours 2015 >> Français >> Presse >> Dossiers...

And then you configure sh404SEF to only display the "Top category" when displaying a category link so it does just that. And the top category is "En cours 2015".

What you should probably do is select to build category URLs with the "Last one" or "Last 2" categories:

Delete all the incorrect URLs after changing the settings, so that new ones are created again with the new settings.

Allehuya ! It works fine, I have now 2 proper links ! Thanks for the tip on the category, I wouldn't have find it alone ...

I still have an issue with Seblod, SH404 is rewritting the name of the category, any idea how I can avoid that ?

It was not a tip. This setting is not the default one, so at some point you (or someone who worked on the site) changed it to that. The default value is "Last 2" which include the 2 last category and would not have caused this issue.

sh404SEF is not doing that. As mentioned earlier, sh404SEF does not alter your page content. I would suggest you get in touch with Seblod about this.
