There are 25k hits logged as 404 requests for "index.php".

I know that https://www.xxxx.com/index.php does get redirected to https://www.xxxx.com/

BUT is there a way to resolve this so that it is not logged as a 404?

Hi

Those are not requests to "site.com/index.php" (those are indeed redirected to your home page, and as thus are not listed under the 404 manager).

These records are for listed as index.php because we do not record query strings in 404 requests. So for instance those records are for requests such as:

- site.com/index?php?option=com_somecomponent

assuming that com_somecomponent is not installed on your site.
