Good morning,
I have a major problem with my SH404sef configuration. it is producing thousands of links and also many internal link errors. Internal link errors are mainly cache, ccs and .js files.
I have tried relentlessly to find the cause but to no avail. I wonder if you would be kind enough to point me in the right direction?

Hi

sh404SEF is not involved in that, at least what you show on the screenshot. Those are 404 errors (not links created - links created are on the "SEF URLs" page).

I can't tell you why yo uhave 404s happening on your site, especially on js and css files. Those are probably bad links you have, they seem to be relared to the JCH optimize plugins.
We don't create 404s, we just report them to you.

One important thing to know however: in previous versions of sh404SEF, there was a bug in sh404SEF that cause some internal 404 errors to NOT be reported as internal. We would consider them external 404 instead. This bug has been fixed, and so internal 404 are now properly reported.

Thanks for your prompt reply and explanation regarding my problem with broken links. I still have an issue over Sh404sef creating thousands of links as per the attached image.
I appreciate that this is no problem with SH404sef itself but again if you could give me the benefit of your experience to suggest where I may find an answer if changing my configuration won't help.

Hi

As you pointed out rightly, sh404SEF is not creating any link. sh404SEF cannot create any link, it does not know how to do that.
We only record links created by Joomla and the extensions running on your site. You have all those links on your site, whether sh404SEF is installed or not. Simply without sh404SEF:

- you don't see them
- they are not recorded in the database.

There is nothing wrong with that, that's exactly how sh404SEF is supposed to work.
