Hello,

I'm using sh404sef with joomla multilanguage and jsitemap, I set "leave as non-sef" but when I create an alias from the sitemap, the sitemap show inside of the template instead of an xml raw version.

For example, the url is:
index.php?option=com_jmap&view=sitemap&format=xml&lang=it

I create an alias like that:
it/sitemap

How can I have a xml sitemap with url it/sitemap and the same for other languages?

Thanks a lot and have a nice weekend!

Hi

Having an XML page being displayed as HTML is 99.99% of times caused by a system plugin on your site that behaves incorrectly. It's a common programming error, they look for ?format=xml in the URL, and because they don't find it, they force the page to be HTML. It only happens when using fully SEF URLs, if you try loading site.com/it/sitemap?format=xml, this should probably work fine.

I would suggest you disable your system plugins one by one, until you find the faulty one. Be careful, this is best done on a test copy of your site, as disabling system plugins can be dangerous.

Rgds

PS: next time, please provide full and real URLs, not just partials. The above is only an hypothesis, because I could not test with the real site.

Hi

Can I ask which system plugin you had to disable to make this work?

Hi,

I used this solution for the moment:
site.com/it/sitemap?format=xml

Thanks,
Davide

Hi

OK, up to you, it's simpler of course. But you should find which of your plugins is causing this, it might cause more trouble.
