 Hello,

I have a blank page in the front-end after updating the SEH component from 4.11.0.3643 to 4.12.0.3715 (I have the latest version of joomla and I've made the test in a local server).

The access to the backend works but the sh404SEF menu has disappeared from the component menu.

What should I do ?

Thanks in advance

Natacha

Hi

1 - As usual when you have a blank page on your site anywhere, you should go to Joomla configuration and set "Error reporting" to "Maximum". This should give you a full error message (although your server configuration may still prevent that)

2 - How did you update? through the one-click update or by downloading a zip and installing it?

3 - Was sh404SEF running fully before the update,ie: did you have some of its plugins disabled for instance?

Hi

1- the error message given is :
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wbGetProtectedProperty() in C:\Program Files (x86)\Ampps\www\administrator\components\com_sh404sef\models\redirector.php on line 676
(I have tested in a Ampps local server)

2-I updated through the one-click update

3-I think so (see the configuration page in attachment)

Many thanks

Natacha

Hi

That error does not make sense to be honest, there's been already a large number of sites updated.

3-I think so (see the configuration page in attachment)
I meant the plugins, as in the Joomla plugins manager, there are a number of sh404SEF plugins, that should be all enabled. There is also the shLib plugin that should be enabled.

1 - What is the exact and full version of the shLib plugin as displayed in Joomla plugins manager?

Hi,

The version of the shLib plugin is 0.3.1.642. All sh404SEF plugins seem enabled.

Regards

Hi,
The problem seems to be related to the shLib plugin as your question suggests.
I have disabled this plugin and now the site seems to work (I did not test everything), there is an error message : Missing shLib, or not enabled, AMP plugin cannot run.
sh404SEF requires the shLib system plugin to be enabled, but you appear to have disabled it. Please enable it again!
What should I do ? The plugin seems necessary for the functioning of sh404SEF.
Many thanks !

Hi

OK, I see, you have wbAMP, maybe this is a source of the problem, although it's acommon situation (including this very website) that should not cause any issue.

Yes, shLib is required for both wbAMP and sh404SEF. If you disabled it, at this moment both are entirely disabled, which is why you don't get any error, simply because you disabled sh404SEF.

However, your version of shLib is outdated. For some reason, the newest shLib version that came with sh404SEF 4.12 was not installed. This might be the sign of improper file access permisions for instance.

What you should do at this stage:

- ensure Error reporting is still set to maximum
- download sh404SEF ZIP file and install it
- during the installation, take note of any message such as:
"shLib: skipping installation..."

and of course any PHP error message of any kind.

Then check if shLib has been updated to the current version 0.3.1.655.
