 If we take for example

https://www.xxxx.com/referrals
The title and description is
- Share your love of travel
- Introduce a friend to xxxx and earn 10% commission of the amount each time they spend on travel with xxxx until March 2020

But if its
https://www.xxxx.com/referrals?referralcode=ade2
The title and description is
- xxxx
- {Nothing}

But something else is generating the title and description higher up in the code, but seems SH404 one is being selected for display in FB Debug. Could you help tell me what other joomla components usually create those OG stuff?

Hi

It's K2 generating those OGP data, based on the article content.

I don't know why including a referral in the URL would cause an issue in setting up the title and description, unless you have entered those manually in the URL manager. If so, then it is normal that adding the query var breaks things, as title/description is attached to the URL, and by adding the referral variable, you make this page have a different URL.

Is there any way around it

Hi

Around what? you did not confirm what you are doing. Is my hypothesis correct? areyou overriding manually inside of sh404SEF ? are your sure it's not your referral extension that's override the title/desc?

Yes im overriding with a custom title n desc. Im just adding a ?param=X in back. Its not a extension, just another component. QUIX to be exact. Do you mean by adding a ? it will make SH404 think its a different URL.

Hi

If you add ?param=x, then you are making it an entirely different URL and the custom meta data does not apply, which is why you lose the custom description/title.

Is there a workaround for this? To have sh404sef ignore the ?param

Hi

Not really, if you change the URL, you change it, it's a different. It'd be very hard to know which param are ok, and which are not.
