 Hello

I am trying to configure a site (joomla) in two languages (FR / UK) and I have a problem of setting

The creation of the URLS is built with sh404SEF:

Default language: FR
http://domain-name.com/alias-categorie-1/alias-categorie-2/alias-article.html

Secondary language: UK
http://domain-name.com/en/alias-categorie-1/alias-categorie-2/alias-article.html

All is correct, except for the 2 pages of welcome:

- If one comes from the web, the default page is: nom-de-domaine.com (FR)

- If I click on the flag UK (change language on the frontoffice of the website): http://domain-name.com/en/alias-categorie-1/alias-article.html> is it possible to have only : http://domain-name.com/en/

- if I am on the homepage UK and I click on the flag FR: http://domain-name.com/alias-categorie-1/alias-article.html> is it possible to have only: http://domain-name.com

Thank for your help :)

Hi

1 - This cannot be discussed in theory. please provide full and exact domain name and real and complete URLs

2 - Not recognizing the home URL is caused (usually) by differing home menu items.

All is correct, except for the 2 pages of welcome:
WHat do you mean by this? the "Home" menu item? what is "Welcome"?

Thank you for your prompt response

The best is to see on the front-office site (I am in early development).

The address is: http://xxxx.com - but to see the site in development you have to give me your IP

Yes I am talking about the Home (Fr) and Home (UK)

Hi

The best is to see on the front-office site (I am in early development).
The front-end won't help much, this problem is coming from a joomla menus configuration issue and/or template "home" link issue - from what I understood. Pretty quick backend access will be required.

My IP address currently is xxxx

You can see the site in dev now.

For access to the backoffice, please follow the following instructions and always have the same IP (transmitted), otherwise Admintools will block.

Access to the back office: http://xxxx.com/administrator/xxxx

1st connection:
Login: xxxx
PW: xxxx

2nd connection:
Login: xxxx
PW: xxxx

Thank you for explaining my error, to understand and not to renew it in the future :) et thank you for your help :)

Hi

So the issue here was a little bit different: you had created associations between:

- home menu items
- articles on these pages

This does not play well with us and the Joomla language filter, so one needs to simply do not create associations for the home page menus and articles.
After removing those associations and purging URLs, all seems good.
