Hi dear,

I've a problema with the link on the flag for the main language.
In my case the main language for the website is english. Everything works fine, except for 2 things:

- while on the home page for other languages (like french or german), the link to the main language is /en/ instead of /, why?
- If I'm on another language (like french for example), I navigate to the home page of that language and then I click on the English flag (/en/) I'm redirect to the French homepage. The same happens if I'm navigating the German language website, then I click on English flag.

This problem happens only regarding the English / main language flag and for the home pages. Link on home page to other languages works fine, and link on subpages to other languages works fine.

How can I solve it?

I'm using Joomla 3.6 and sh404SEF 4.8.0.3423.

Hi

1 - What is your exact and full Joomla version? (there are 4 versions in the 3.6 branch)

2 -

because Joomla cannot switch back to home page without that. It doesn't cause any issue as proper redirects and canonical are generated as needed.

3 - You are using an outdated version of sh404SEF, please update.

First of all I've Joomla! 3.6.4

Sorry but I was not clear enough probably.
The problem is that If I'm on the French, German or Japanese home page and I click on the English Home page, I'm not redirect the the English Home page but to the same page I'm...

So for example:

From here:

http://xxxx.com/jp/index.html

If I click on English Flag I'm redirect to:

http://xxxx.com/jp/index.html

From here:

http://xxxx.com/ru/index.html

If I click on English Flag I'm redirect to:

http://xxxx.com/ru/index.html

I would like to have the redirect to the English Home page as supposed.

OK. Put when I purge urls what happens?
I've thousands of urls created and I don't what to remake them :/

Hi

When you purge, automatically created URLs are deleted. Custom ones are not deleted. Meta data, etc are not deleted.
If you had duplicates, and you manually selected some "Main" URLs, that would be lost.

In any case, update first, event if you don't purge.
