Hi,

I purchased sh404sef and am trying to get things working on my site. Everything seems to install fine, but the component itself is missing from the component menu. If I click the link inside the box that comes up after install, it goes to 404. Is there a way to manually publish the component? I thought it might be something in .htaccess, but I tried it without the htaccess and got the same result.

Please let me know if you can help.

Hi

No you can't do a thing. The component is not installed as per the message you get.

1 - What's your Joomla and PHP exact and full versions?
2 - Did you ever have another version of sh404SEF at any point in time on this site?
3 - Was it upgraded or migrated from an older Joomla version at any time?

I would suggest uninstalling, and then
- download a new copy (files can get damaged during download and upload, so try with a new copy)
- install again

Hah. That's exactly what I had done the past couple hours. I am at the point now that the SHLIB part won't install : shLib was not installed properly, cannot continue. Please try uninstalling and installing again

The same version of the product was installed previously (about a month ago) but then I tried Joomsef. Decided to come back to your product but am stuck. Joom 3.6.2 and PHP 7.

This would suggest the past install was not removed properly. It can happen depending on how you removed it.

I would suggest the following:

1 - download the shLib plugin from this page.
2 - install it
3 - Install current sh404SEF over
