Before I installed sh404SEF the items which were Joomla Articles in the sub-menu would appear like this...
/xyz (Main main single Joomla Article)
/xyz/abc (Sub-menu single Joomla Article)
/xyz/def (Sub-menu single Joomla Article)

After installing and enabling sh404SEF, I get this

/xyz (Main main single Joomla Article)
/abc (Sub-menu single Joomla Article)
/def (Sub-menu single Joomla Article)

What I want just for this sub-menu is /xyz/abc and /xyz/def for the sub-menu Joomla Articles.

How can I best accomplish this? Thanks!

Hi

If we talk about standard Joomla articles, menus are stricly not used to build URLs. This is the number 1 issue in Joomla SEO, and one of the very reasons why sh404SEF exists (to prevent duplicate content). URLs are built using only the articles title/alias and categories, with various settings available to configure the URL structure, under the "Extensions -> Joomla" tab of sh404SEF configuration (if you change things there, you will need to purge URLs in the URL manager so that new ones are created again under the new settings).

You can also of course manually customize any URL, for instance to mimic pre-existing URLs.
