 Hello,

I used sh404sef for one of my websites and everything work fine just i have problem with Advanced Portfolio Pro component that it's urls look like: example.com/projects/id-category-alias/id-project-alias that i want to become example.com/project-alias same as other urls that look like: example.com/article-alias

Could you please let me know what setting i have to use for this component?

best regards

Hi

sh404SEF doesn't know this extension, and doesn't have any specific support for it. Which means we are relying on the URLs built by this component and any customization option that may exist for the URLs needs to be searched for in the extension itself. You can of course manually customize any URL in sh404SEF URL manager, but that's probably only suitable if you have a limited number of projects?

Hi,

I talked with component support before contacting you and they told me I can use sh404sef to do this and i see there is component tab in configuration so i just thought maybe sh404sef can take control of making url for any component if it set up correctly. as you said manual customization is good for limited projects but i have a large number of projects.

Regards

Hi

they told me I can use sh404sef to do this
I have no idea why they said that. This is incorrect.

As explained above, you can manually customize each URL one by one.

To do this would require that Advanced Portofolio Pro developers write an sh404SEF plugin, and decide to remove all the ids. That's not hard to do, but that's entirely up to them.
