There is an error 500 instead of an error 404 when a page is not found (example : http://www.xxxx.fr/wft]).

sh404sef records all of these (errors 500) in the 404 errors panel (the record 404 option is active). So it appears that the problem comes after these recordings.

The website is fully up to date (joomla 3.6.2, sh404sef 4.7.3.3292 and other extensions...).

Hi

1 - I got an error 500 visiting the home page on my first visit!

2 - An error 500 means that there is a PHP error happening on the site. You can make Joomla display those errors (instead of the default which is to hide them) by setting "Error reporting" to "Maximum" in J! configuration.
This will probably give you a useful error message.

As just a a guess, if you have Joomla Redirect system plugin enabled, it might cause that (you 'll see it mentioned in the error message, afgter enabling error display). If so, you can just disable that plugin, it's not used when sh404SEF is running anyway.
