#2628 – Integration with kunena forum "last posts"

Please provid direct links for the errors. Currently, those links seem to work all right:

If the link are not what they should be, please provide one single example of a link, stating what the link is, and what the link should be.

If the links are what they should be, then again select just one example, and state what the link is, and which non-sef URL is registered (or none) in sh404SEF URL manager.

If the links work now, it might just be your module caching effect, Kunean caching. Check if caching is enabled in J! configuration.

Is this what you mean by "broken"?

3 - Back to the basic: I looked at the Last post module again this morning. The first link in that module is now:

If I click on it, the server is trying to redirect me to:

So there is a problem with language obviously.

a - Which version of Kunena are you running, the latest 5.0?

b - What are the settings for Kunena under the By components tab of sh404SEF configuration?

c - Does this behavior appear on

- any other KUNENA page? or just on that last post module?
- any other page of the site (ie with com_content, etc)

I can't read hebrew but I can see that one link (the bad one) has -1485 in it, while the other one has -1470.

1 - Those numbers looks like category or item ids. Is this correct? or are those different menu item maybe?

2 - and if so, does the category/item 1485 exist? did you set up any redirect for it? or is there such menu item?

In other words, it looks like the Last post module is not using the correct category/item/menu item id?

OK, but what I don't understand at the moment is what this has to do with sh404SEF. What I mean is that sh404SEF does not create those links, it only turns them from non-sef to SEF. The module is creating the links.

So what would help to understans if sh404SEF is:
- disable both sh404SEF and Joomla SEF
- load the front page, and copy/paste the links displayed by the module (just one example maybe). They should be non-sef, ie index.php?option=com....
- then turn back on Joomla SEF, reload and see what link Joomla SEF creates for this same link
- then turn back on sh404SEF, reload and see what link Joomla SEF creates for this same link

I don't see how sh404SEF could create a link to a non-existing category all by itself. The only option for that would be if this link was somehow put in the database some times ago, with other settings maybe, and stayed there. So that's another thing to look at. If you search for the 1470 and the 1485 links in the sh404SEF URL, do you find them? and what are the non-sef URLs attached to them?
