hello, I encounter another problem. It is noted in the configuration sh404sef / configuration / seo: sh404SEF has plugins to automatically create META tags for some components. Do not manually create them if the automatically calculated values do not satisfy you!

I feel that on my site that does not work: https://www.xxxx.com/blog.html I do not have a meta description
The title should it be price into account automatically?

I looked all sh404sef plugin is enabled in extension / plugin management

Hi

We cannot create automatically a description on a blog page. Which part should we take?

Generally speaking, it's very rare that decription is automatically created: we basically only do it for Virtuemart, which has a "short description" field where admin can manually a enter a good description.

Other than that, it's nearly impossible to extract automatically a good description from content in general. All the attempts I have seen are very bad, because it would require to understand the content, which is not something possible for a Joomla extension (Google barely does it, with all their power!).

So the only good solution is to manually craft a description, on pages where it's worth it. Description is very important as it may improve your click through rate in search results (but it's not used for ranking pages)

The title should it be price into account automatically?

Not sure what that means. The title is indeed computed automatically, usually including item title and categories. You have some settings to adjust how the title is built:

I come back to your answer in your extension is however noted letting sh404sef do it alone for us.
But I do agree that it is better to do it manually. I wonder if that phrase has its place because not misled?

Hi

Well meta data does not mean description. We automatically generate title for com_content and others, such as Virtuemart, and same for description (for Virtuemart). The thing is other extensions provide their own sh404SEF plugins, such as Flexicontent or K2.
