Hello,

In Redirect to SEF URLs some filters not work. Chose it and not get results. Please see screenshot. I chose before "Show all SEF URLs" to try find correct URL.

You can test it here:

Hi

Yes, there seems to be an issue here. Can you try simply Changing from Show similar URLs to Show all SEF URL and back? this seems to fix the issue and make other filters start working again.

Hi

Sorry it took so long, I had to get back to using this, hadn't in a while. So this is actually working "as designed". Currently, the filters only work when the last filter is set to "Display ALL SEF URLs".

When you display only Similar URLs, the URLs displayed are limited by the Similar URLs plugin itself, and not filtering is possible.

I have try and it not help.
This is working for me. First select "Display all SEF URL". This will show all the possible URLs. Then the filters become active.

The Component filter seems to work fine, as well as Automatic/custom filter. With or Without and aliases don't seem to work however. I will look more now.

Hi

I have uploaded a new version, fixed. This was due to a change in Joomla, some times ago, whre language code used internally where switched to en-GB instead of simply en (for instance). Some part of sh404SEF were updated, but that window missed it.

Please remember you can also use the search box on top of that window, should be useful as well to search for best URLs.

Hi

You should not redirect old 404 to home page. Redirecting a 404 is only useful if the new URL is very similar to the old page. If the pages are different, there is zero SEO benefit to all that work. Google will treat the old 404, even after a redirect is in place, as a "Soft 404". So you didn't change anything, and you spend lots of time on this!

I know about what you speak. But see. Page http://domain.com/page1.html on new site is deleted and content from it moved to main page. Now I want redirect old page URL http://domain.com/page1.html to main page to save traffic.

Hi

As I said, if the new page content is very close to the old one, it's good. Otherwise, it's not useful.

It will not cause any trouble however, it might just be a waste of time. Anyway, you can check that in the search console, if you see some "Soft 404", that's probably where it's coming from.

Are you ok to close this ticket now?
