 To whom it may concern,

Where can I find Home page alias to direct some pages to home page. I tried to follow this

http://joomla.stackexchange.com/questions/12406/sh404sef-how-to-redirect-a-url-to-home

But I could not find any alias tab in the modal window of Home page meta.

Also Click on "Add an url record" do nothing.

Please help in this regard.

Hi

1 - There is an "Aliases" input box in the "Home page meta" popup:

I have no idea what can cause it (and only this one) to disappear (and also why those counters shows 60 and are red while the content appears empty).

There are obviously some big issues on your sh404SEF installation, which looks likes it's corrupted or damaged.

I would first try to reinstall sh404SEF, clearing all your browser cache.

2 - I read your post on stackexchange. Can you please DELETE YOUR RESPONSE? It is entirely wrong, because of the missing "Aliases" input box on your site.
3 - The additional "site.com/home-page" is not "created by sh404SEF". sh404SEF does not create URLs, never. URLs are created by Joomla. This type of "home-page" links means that you have a menu item called "Home page", but it's not marked as an actual home page. It's simple to fix, by using instead a "Menu alias", as provided by Joomla.

Hi,

Thanks for the response. A misunderstanding to clear first.

I tried to follow the answer on StackExchange but that is not my post( Question and Answer are written by some fella named FFrewin ). I just search first to find a working solution as I always do to make my effort before contacting you for support. I am not FFrewin. There is some misunderstanding.

Now back to your answer, What will be the safest procedure to reinstall SH404SEF and Can I export all data and import again?

Thanks in advance.

Hi

OK, thanks for clearing that up, indeed I was mistaken there, sorry.

I have no idea what's happening on your site. I can't think of any reasonable way only half of this popup could show, and only the "Aliases" tab would be missing.

Re-installing is simple, you just install over. Data is not removed (even if you uninstall entirely, data is not removed, you need to check some specific options before uninstalling to remove data - see documentation).

This looks more like a javascript conflict.

1 - Have you tried with another browser?
2 - If another browser gives the same result, could you please provide us with superadmin credentials to your website. You can create a temporary account, and delete it afterwards, but it must have superuser level.

Thanks and regards
