hi, on virtuemart product i get for all one link for the "ask questions" .. it is not necessary ... for all link i get an other link ... ( 1000 product link, i get 2000 total link ) ... ask questions on all virtuemart website is an popup .... maybe to lighten the database .

What do you think about this ??

Hi

Well if Virtuemart create that link, we will SEFy it in most cases if the VM router.php file does it (we use the VM router.php file internally).

What's the non-sef URL for that?

you can try with this :
http://www.xxxx.com/brother/toner-rigenerati-nero-per-brother/tn1050.html in this url if you use "fai una domanda su questo prodotto" .. i only see an popup .... but sh404 make an url same image that i have send to you in my first post

The non-sef URL is listed in the URL manager.

is sh404 that make an sef url :-(

Hi

I see, this is a separate task (task=askquestion) so this could be left out, but to be honest, there's little incentive for that, people just want SEF URLs most of the time, so I'm not sure I will do that anyway.

Also, in your case, I think I remember your site is J 2.5, right? support has ended for that, and if any such change is made, it will only be for Joomla 3!

yes i have see that J2 is ended but i no can upgrathe joomla because VM work better with j2 ... i hope that J 3.5 is more compatible but need time to test this .... all comsumer that use VM use J2 ... some one that use J 3 no is appy .... maybe some other upgrathe for j2 for me and for some other consumer maybe is better for you too ...

for link "ask questions" i think that no need sef-url because this is only an service url ( no real url) because only the product url is important ... the "ask questions" url is only popup .. ... but you are the expert on this ...

Of course I understand, then maybe you should add the option in setting SH404 area dedicated to virtuemart where one can choose whether to have or not to have "ask questions" ..thanks

Problem with that is that there are like 100 similar URLs where the user could decide to do one or the other. It's just not viable to have so many settings. Maintenance is horrible, translation is the same, documentation, etc
And users are afraid with so many settings and find the software complex.
