 I added meta content and an image, turned on the Twitter card, but nothing is showing in the Twitter card. I removed the content from the Joomla meta, and turned off the setting to include site name in page titles.

Hi

1 - Please provide a direct link to a page where the problem can be seen
2 - What are your exact and full versions for Joomla and sh404SEF?
3 - Where did you add the image tag content? for which URL?
4 - Regarding the screenshot, the only interesting this is what's in your page html source code. Again, we need a link for that.

Hi

1 - Please provide a direct link to a page where the problem can be seen

I meant on your site. I'm not concerned with what Twitter or others do. sh404SEF job is to insert Cards tag inside your pages. So please provide a page on your site where you have the problem.

Anyway, your screenshots show that you tried to enable this for your home page, so I looked at the home page source:

- I don't even think sh404SEF is active there: the "joomla " generator has been left in, there's no OGP tags (from sh404SEF).
- the few OGP tags there are not created by sh404SEF, but by another extension, or your template
They are like:
  <meta content="Home" property="og:title" />
  <meta content="website" property="og:type"/>

while sh404SEF uses the opposite format:
  <meta property="og:title" content="Home" />
  <meta property="og:type" content="website"/>

- It looks like Easyblog is taking over:
[xxxx]

but that's just a guess.

You should review your site setting and enable only one extension to provide social tagging.
